Hailing from Edgewater, MD, The Moran Tripp Band is one of the hottest up and coming rock bands in Maryland. Their sophomore album Jumpers Hole released in February of 2025 garnered over 50,000 streams to date, and Saving Country Music sung its praises calling it a “greasy and sweaty” blend of country blues and southern textures. Their release party at Ram’s Head On Stage sold out, and as Park Life DC said in their review “the temperature outside was just above freezing, [but] inside Rams Head On Stage was on fire!”. The Moran Tripp Band name comes from lead singer Ryan Moran and lead guitarist Shane Tripp who weave vocals that are “suede, somehow smooth and gruff at the same time” with telecaster chops that “ferociously shred” and “sing sweetly”. The rhythm section is made up of Dru Tucker on drums and Tom Coster on bass who hold down a booming rock solid backbeat with visceral emotion and excellent song sense. The band has been gaining momentum since their self titled album released in January 2024. They have a collaborative EP set to release this year, and another full studio album on the way.
